COMPANY HISTORY
As is often the case, the truth can be stranger than fiction and major endeavors can arise from the intersection of seemly trivial events. Salvage Europe was founded in Romania in 2010 by Canadian film production designer, John Francis Welbanks as a hobby interest between freelance work.
As a child, one of John’s favorite pastimes was to explore the dilapidated ruins of old barns and homesteads in his native South eastern Ontario. This formative experience grew into a life long fascination for old materials and the inherent beauty and history incased within them.
